Breakfast!

I woke up really early yesterday – I was in Kuwait City to take pictures for a client early in the morning! I passed by the grocery store, our local coop, to get some stuff….. so by the time I got back home it was around 8:00AM… I decided to prepare breakfast for dad and I, since I was home alone with him 😉

My aunt sent us Girs Egaili (قرص عقيلي) the other day – a traditional Kuwaiti cake… It was the trigger to prepare such breakfast actually, what goes well with it… and I went from there 😉 So I added Darabeel (درابيل) or what I call, Kuwaiti dry cinnamon rolls 😉 and I sliced a multi-grain French bread….

Ansam II Icy Yogurt – The Launch

Yesterday we had a very closed and cozy event at Napket to launch my second Icy Yogurt! I invited my family, close friends, and my top fans!

We had half of the restaurant reserved for us in a very lounge-y setting with amazing music playing in the background! I tried my best to snap pics of everyone there with the help of my cousin! I was having so much flying like a butterfly between my family and friends talking with everyone while refreshments were going around till it was time to present

Ansam II Yogurt – Now At Napket

I had an amazing evening with family, close friends, and Ansam Yogurt TOP FANS (link).

We had a special closed event at Napket – we had half of it for us and a couple of Napket’s management team. It was so much fun 😀

Magnolia Bakery Red Velvet Yummies – Dubai

Dana and I were determined to try the much talked about Magnolia Bakery red velvet cheesecake! Now I have previously tried so many cupcakes flavors from them (link) -including the red velvet cupcakes but not the cheesecake!

My friend Alex told me not to miss the red velvet cheesecake next time I go… So last Friday, after a long day of shopping around we stopped by the bakery and man it was CROWDED! We asked the sales guy for red velvet cheesecakes and guess what he end up giving us?

Yes! Red velvet cupcakes!!!! Not that we minded, they are yummy (yummier than ever since they were fresh out of the oven this time)

Moist, sweet cheese frosting, perfect! Next day… Dana was determined to get the cheesecake and oh boy, she did 😉

Dana! Glad you did! It was AHHHH-MAAYZINGGG!!! She got a box of cupcakes -assorted ones- plus the cheesecakes! Since Noufa missed out the first tasting, she tried it this time with us and almost fainted LOL yeah that’s how much she loved it 😛 She’s a red velvet fan… BIG time 😉 As for Dana, she called it the new love of her life 😉

The red velvet cheesecake was unique and perfectly silky in texture – slides on your tongue! I think the crust was oreo based, I would lose the cream on top and dive into the cheesecake right away!!! Its GOOD even though its not a sweet sweet! You know what I mean?

I really am glad we tried it at last ❤

Lenotre Mother’s Day Cake

Earlier today, I passed by to pick up the cake I ordered from Lenotre for Mother’s Day 😉

What I loved is that Lenotre followed a distinctive theme of presenting their cakes this year… from Valentine‘s to Kuwait’s Golden Jubilee and now this cake 😉

They all came in on beautiful plexi trays… in individual gift paper bags – both of which were decorated to the occasions and with lyrics from famous songs for each occasion! I loved the ideas.. all of them 😉

This one reads… My mom, my angel… from Fairuz

Flavor? Layers of red velvet and cream cheese covered in sugar polka dot and wrapped with sugar polka dot ribbon! The color? Red velvet…. really comes from the mother’s heart! Beautiful symbolism 😉

Oh and the taste? I loved it… fluffy! The cream cheese amount was just about right and the sugar coat on top complimented it well 😉

Well done Lenotre and happy mothers day to all the mommies out there 😉

The Living Room Lounge Brunch

Over a month back, and exactly a couple of days after Eid AlAdha, we went to The Living Room Lounge for brunch.

We were six persons; my mom, sisters, cousin, his mom, and I 😉 We all ordered the same drink, so it was served in a pitcher (I can’t remember the name of our drink, but it was the one with ginger)
