Great Steak – The Restaurant

We were invited for food tasting and evaluation of the soft opened restaurant Great Steak in AlShaab.

The restaurant is not fully open, and there is an outside seating area that you get into it from the inside which is not done yet… but the atmosphere is hip and young with projected TV programs on the wall, screens on the table (not switched on yet), cool lighting effects, and menu on a black board on top of the counter!

We all ordered Sangria pitcher for all of us

Now lets see… our waiter was super nice and super helpful suggesting all kinds of dishes for us to try out! They surely wanted us to try everything on the menu kinda so here we go, Portobello Mozzarella and Pesto

Mushroom Pizza (Pizza Laggera Mushroom)… so good that I think I will be ordering it next time as my main course. The tomato sauce tasted so good and the mushrooms used are fresh, not canned… the crust is amazingly thin. Fabulous all together

Fried Crab… look how they really are cooked to look like tiny lil crabs!! I also recommend this dish 😉

Crispy Onion Rings…. we asked for all kinds of sauced to go with it LOL

Chicken Tempura – A BIG hit and all of us LOVED it – it came with sweet chili sauce. It was so tender

Healthy Nachos & Bread Sticks with Mexican Layer Dip… when I saw it, I was like who ordered this and why??? WHY? But when I took a bread triangle – their version of nachos – (shown in picture below) and tried it… I ate almost half of it, keeping in mind that this is not the kind of dish I would order!

Roseball Potatoes… with cheese dip! Recommended you guys 😉 And thank you Zoona for ordering it!

And lastly the Burger Bites – nine bites with three different sauces.

We were SO FULL at this point so I dont know if this affected my judgement towards the actual meals at the end. I personally liked all the appetizers that we ordered more than our actual meals… which were

Classic Burgers (slider size)

Pepper Steak Sandwich

Crunchy Spicy Burger

And Swiss Mushroom Burger

Anyways… the restaurant is in its soft opening stage, but you’re welcome to go. Its located in Al Shaab, just turn right in Ibn AlKhateeb St. from Gulf Road, take the first U-turn, and then take a right as if you are going to Costa Del Sol Hotel… Keep going straight on that road till the end, and you will see it there. They dont have delivery service as of now, but will do in the future. However you can call them up, order, and pick it up 😉 Their telephone number is 1840777
