Anfal, my sister, was invited to China Kitchen and kept raving about it… So we went with our friend Lamia to try it out for dinner earlier today.
Now to begin with, the place is small, and resembles those restaurants in Europe, the tiny ones with tucked in tables, wooden doors… the interiors of China Kitchen were all white and green, very relaxing and well put together 😉
Now I must tell you that our pictures (mine, Anfal, and Lamia) all together were taken by our mobile phones and wont do justice to the place and the real thing! Ready? Let’s go!
It was kinda hard to capture the whole area cuz there were some people in the restaurant and we didnt want to annoy them… but I am trying to give you a feel of this calm soothing place
They start you of with their complimentary prawn crackers
We browsed through the menu, ordered a large bottle of water, jasmine tea for all of us, two sweet chicken corn soups, sesame prawn on toast and vegetable rolls for appetizers 😉
For our main courses we ordered sweet & sour chicken, chicken in Mongolian sauce, beef chow men, vegetable fried rice, and Shanghai fried rice
Very generous portions (we could not finish half of it, so they are good to share and our food/order was enough for six), very yummy dishes, and they felt lightly cooked! Though the dishes I would highly recommend are shrimp on toast and the sweet & sour chicken!
No room was left for dessert, though we heard they have yummy banana fried with sesame or something, but I am not sure!
Anyways… you can call them on 25738754 to place an order, or pay them a visit (check the map below)
