While in Cairo, I noticed they have nuts & seeds vendors which reminded me of the chestnut vendors that I love so much in Europe only they sell nuts and seeds instead (kinda like the ones we have in coops)
The smell was so good… it drew me to the guy as if I was hypnotized LOL! Of course I got a small bag sunflower seeds for EGP10 😉
Which brings me to this… GUYS! WE NEED CHESTNUT VENDORS IN KUWAIT? Anyone wannna start this business? I remember a while back I saw one in Salmiya… someone must bring it back please 😉

I adore roasted chestnuts. This year in the centre of Norwich (Norfolk UK), rather than the outdoor skating rink they usually have in place during the Christmas season, there is a huge traditional carousel and chestnut vendor next to a gorgeous Christmas tree. It’s lovely and so pretty and makes me appreciate where I live. Nothing beats the taste of freshly roasted chestnuts of which we ate by the sack full in Kuwait. Good memories for sure 🙂
I cant have enough of those chestnuts – specially when you buy’em off vendors LOL they somewhat taste different LOL
