Few weeks back I attended The Proteges graduation ceremony! They had few short documentaries to show during the ceremony about the program. Very nice videos. Then two of the Proteges; Mohammed AlMunaikh and Nora AlHajeri talked about the program and the experience
They were all asked to sit and look straight – never look back NO MATTER WHAT… for that the mentors had a surprise for them coming up π
Their parents/families were coming in quietly as a surprise… they had no clue. One student after the other was asked to go on-stage to give a 60-seconds speech about his/her experience… the reaction of those going up the stage was priceless… lots of laughs, tears, and surprised feelings!
After which, they had few minutes to go say hello to their families – the audience π
Then they were asked to present their project – Al Sariyah (to know more about it, follow them on twitter) It was an amazing idea – I loved it
And here they are… The Generation I of The Proteges
And here are some of their awesome mentors who attended the ceremony
Mentors: Bedoor AlShebli, Yarub Burhama, Mishari AlMufarreh, Shamlan AlBahar, and Abdullah AlEisa
Not to mention the great role of Gulf University for Science & Technology into hosting this program and providing them with all the aid they needed into making it happen π
