Few days back I was at Baitak Tower for a meeting, I was thinking Quiznos towards the last 20 mins of the meeting! I ate so much from Quiznos while in the States, but never in Kuwait so I was thinking… I am at Baitak Tower, so might as well give it a try!

The place is small, with few tables inside and less out! I was surprised to see that they are using Kuwait Flour Mills bread! Interesting

I placed my order and snapped some pictures while I waited…

I asked about their soups! I was disappointed that they do not offer those in Kuwait! Basically those soup can come in bowls or in bread bowls! They make good meals by themselves!

Well, anyways… I ordered turkey sub, toasted… in a brown bread

He cuts the bread, place the turkey and cheese on one side of the station, place it in this huge toaster, and go finish up the sub with all the extras and toppings on the other side!

The sandwich is SO GOOD and the ingredients are fresh! I loved it! What I didnt like about Quiznos-Kuwait (besides the lack of soups option) is that they do not deliver And I also did not like their paper bag!

Yes! I pay attention to such details… and I like branded paper bags! I think they go hand in hand with the food you are taking out of it! Did that make sense?

Anyways… Quiznos is located on the ground level of Baitak Tower in Kuwait City. Should they start delivery service, I would order A LOT from them! Yummy subs!

R U Taking Protection? From Oily Roots is one of Lee Stafford amazing products! I have straight oily hair that I have to wash daily! I was telling my sweet friend about me needing to wash my hair daily, and she highly recommended this product, available at Boots. I looked for it everywhere, in every Boots branch I pass by, but they are always out of it for some reason… so my other sweet friend told me shes got one but never really liked it and gave it to me! I SAY THANKS! ITS MAGICAL!

Few days back, I over slept! I woke up to realize I wont have time to wash my hair before going to work. I took that can in hand and was like “What the hey! Lets give it a shot right now!!”

It is basically a pressured corn starch that you spray on your roots from an arms length, then work it through till it soak up the oil!

If any of you happen to see it at any Boots’ branch PLEASE DO TELL ME!

My friend, Rabaa, had told me before about the Baking Tray’s CHAI & HALEEB (tea with milk). So we decided to finally go, and I was blessed to have double the pleasure when her twin sister joined in It was my first time at the Baking Tray… the place is so cozy! Their ceiling is made of baking trays stacked together

and their menu was posted on a big blackboard… as well as clipboards with printed menus on A4 papers

There it is… CHAI and HALEEB!

oh and I loved their chandelier, which is made of hand mixers

I know its not a clear pictures, but there were a couple of girls sitting and I didnt want to bother them with my picture taking…. but Reo had a much better picture of the chandelier that she sent to me! Look how beautiful it is

They also sell condiments labeled with “The Baking Tray”

We decided to sit on the bar! I snapped few pictures here and there while we were waiting for our order

Too bad I wasnt hungry to try other items… A lot of the items on the menu sounded very appetizing! I opted for their tea with milk (or as you can tell from my pic, milk with a hint of tea )…. oh and some cookies too

The twins ordered mozzarella sandwiches! That’s Reo’s sandwich

My order was satisfying! The tea was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was just the presentation, the friendliness of the staff, the great atmosphere, and of course the company that made it all so worth it! The milk was flavored with cardamom… generous amount, something that I like! The cookies on the other hand were amazing! I remember a friend of ours once got us some cookies from The Baking Tray some time ago (click here)… I highly recommend you try them out! The cookies order comes in three pieces, but I didnt like the fact that they all have to be from the same flavor! Wish you can eat and mix!

The bill came in… and again, with their presentation! Nice

And thats the seating area outside…. which we are planning to make a use of on out next trip there!

My very dear friend Shaikha invited me over for a special screening of a new, fun, daring, and adventurous TV Show called KenNiz! The event was held for bloggers to view the pilot and give their feedback. The meeting point was at Starbucks in Plaza Hawalli. We were then taken to Eagle Vision Media Group (EVMG) for the screening. A mini introductory was given to us by Ms. Zain AlSabah. She talked a bit about EVMG and then about KenNiz, how it turned out from a college project by Shaikha AlSabah and Yousef AlMekhled to a reality show that is about to happen!

KenNiz is an Arabic word derived from Kanz, which means “treasure”. Before playing the pilot, she asked us not to have high expectations since the show was done in a short time frame, and with minimal resources! I honestly was impressed by it so much! I am sure now they have more to give… that it will be much better and bigger, not that what we saw wasnt! So I cant wait

KenNiz is basically a reality TV Show, similar to The Amazing Race (TAR), in which teams of five people in each and who have some kind of pre-existing relationship (family, friends, coworkers..etc) compete against each other to win a prize at the end after following certain clues that will lead them to the “treasure”!

The pilot episode was around 40 minutes and it consisted of two teams… males against females, and I must admit a hilarious series of event and some twisted takes in the story! Loved the girls team, they were too funny with some hilarious reactions!

The show was over so fast, and did not feel like 40 minutes at all! I enjoyed most of it… I was laughing at some parts along with others in the screening room! Amazing job, I must admit!

After the show, the team wanted our feedback and suggestions. They also answered all of our questions… oh and told us some insider news about the changes and the new takes on the show itself.

So whats next?
