Eid Recap

So Eid holiday is now over… and we will be back to work and reality! It was such a nice break spent mostly with my family! I woke up that morning to the sound of Takbir, which is something I LOVE and make sure I wake up every Eid just to listen to it! I couldn’t tape it for you, but found this video on YouTube

We then gathered to have our Eid breakfast…. and it was so nice, but I forgot to snap some pictures for you! We had spiced tea with milk and Balaleet (sweetened noodles with eggs).

Then we started our family rounds, going from one house to the other congratulating them on the occasion of Eid

Now I have random pictures for you to check out from my Eid break….

We ordered lots and lots of Little Treats mini yummy boxes, we asked them to make’em all into sheep frosting!

We usually go to Shahrayar on the second or third day of Eid

but our plans got cancelled this time! Oh and it was raining… one of our windows leaked water into my Dad’s Diwaniya and his persian rug got damaged

When soaked in water it was SO SO HEAVY! More than five human being hardly took it out of the Diwaniya…. We let it sun-dry for a couple of days before we call our Persian rug peeps! I know it doesnt look THAT bad… but at least they can check it and let us know if they can do anything! What do you think?

Oh and I finally got to try Prime & Toast Breakfast! IT IS REALLY GOOD!

Another dish on the table was the Omelette with Thyme

and the amazing French Toast… Yes, I got to try those as well

I ordered tea with milk…. but I usually get teased because thats how my cup looks… Milk with a hint of tea and not the other way around

I love their “not paper cup” cups

I also went to the Avenues on the fourth day of my break… Lots of BIG HUGE ads all over the place

And I FINALLY got to try the Pinkberry pomegranate flavor I got the small size… I cant remember if it was KD2.150 or KD3.150! Expensive either way…. but was worth the try!

My sisters and I, along with my cousin and a friend watched The Ugly Truth movie

Katherine Heigl was funny, while I think Gerard Butler looked MUCH hotter in 300, he was still handsome in this chick flick! The movie was a feel-good mixed with silly funny! Very Katherine Heigl!!
