On average, children in developing countries walk more than 6 KM every day to collect water that is likely to make them sick. The lengthy time spent daily to collect water prevents many children from attending school.
Dubai organized Water Bucket Walk yesterday on Jumeirah Beach Road.
An entry fee of AED 30 was required from all participants so that every man, woman, or child who walks the Water Bucket Walk will represent one child’s access to clean water for one year!
