Yesterday was an eventful day! Started of with me going to the Avenues with my friend. I had to go to try the much talked about Dean & Deluca waffle after I read about it on Danderma and 360Dewan’s blogs. But I started off with Black Coffee (accompanied with delicious ginger snaps -which I need to get me some) and this yummy Egg Benedict (Abdulla… that’s poached for you
)

My friend had the Arabic Omlette somthing, which she loved…. by this time my cousin had arrived and joined us for the waffle. It came in three layers just for us three…. and YES! I shared food this time hehehe! Now look at this beauty

That was GOOD!
Afterward we headed to one of my favorite places @ the Avenues…. Color Me Mine (read more on my previous review here).
Operation Fruit Cross Section…

Job#1 – Watermelon!!!

Job#2 – Lemon!!!

and…… *drum rolls*….. TA DA

Ohhh and I had to add Joy’s, who works at Color Me Mine, teddy bear because its just awesome!

I can’t wait to go pick them up next week…. and YES, I am gonna complete my Operation Fruit Cross Section
Later in the day… we had Queenails at home… for “pamepr time” (a post of which will be posted tonight)….. and the day ended with this yummy, fresh out of the oven, Zahra Cafe carrot cake that my friend brought over…

I could not have asked for a better way to end this weekend!!! Amazing day, amazing family, and amazing friends!!

Color Me Mine or Dean & Deluca?
If Color Me Mine… I am in love with the place! I can even go alone and clear my head and enjoy the day painting on ceramics!
If Dean & Deluca… I am also in love! LOVE!

Wowww I wld love to visit Color Me Mine with my little buddies
Wat r their rates?
ansam518 // July 13, 2009 at 3:48 PM
Hmmm the prices vary depending on the ceramics you pick, and then you are charged for painting (different prices for adults and kids)
This is from their website:
How much does it cost?
How much do you have? We have pieces as inexpensive as four dinars. Glazing fees are included in the studio/paint fee. Our studio fee is a flat rate of 3.500 KWD per sitting for adults and 2.750 KWD per sitting for kids 12 and under. This includes unlimited use of paints!

Unfortunately, those waffles aren’t served in the United States, but we have a feeling you’ve boosted tourism to Kuwait!
